Thank you to all of the families that were able to attend Back to School night last week. It was wonderful to see so many families in person and ready to have a great school year.
Golf
The golf season has been postponed due to the golf course availability. The season has now been moved to begin in April.
COVID testing
We will require consent from any families wanting on campus testing. Please see the following letter and information regarding testing on campus. The office also currently has rapid antigen tests available for parents/guardians to take home and test their child.
Parent Teacher Organization
The first PTO meeting will be this Wednesday with a change in location to the Library. Have you considered getting further involved with your child’s school? This might be the perfect opportunity. At this meeting officers will be voted upon, the budget for the year discussed, and planning for the amazing Fall Carnival will begin. Please consider joining PTO to help plan an amazing year.
Parent project
The city of Arcata and Pacific Union are proud to offer the Parent Project. This 10 week series will be offered weekly on Wednesdays from 6:00-9:00, beginning on September 7th. Dinner and youth recreational programming provided. Please see this brochure to sign up.

Humboldt County Youth Cross Country Clinic 9/11, 11:00 AM
This clinic will offer basic information for running youth cross country programs for kindergarten to 8th grade runners at the Arcata Community Center. The clinic will begin promptly at 11:00 AM and be completed between 12:30 and 1:00 PM. Water will be available. The last 1⁄2 hour will be a question and answer session. There is no charge for this clinic. Please write Jack West at jandjwest@yahoo.com if you plan to attend.

Gracias a todas las familias que pudieron asistir a la noche de regreso a clases la semana pasada. Fue maravilloso ver a tantas familias en persona y listas para tener un gran año escolar.
Golf
La temporada de golf ha sido pospuesta debido a la disponibilidad de campos de golf. La temporada ahora se ha movido para comenzar en abril.
Pruebas de COVID
Requerimos el consentimiento de cualquier familia que quiera hacerse la prueba en el campus. Consulte la siguiente carta y la información sobre las pruebas en el campus. Actualmente, la oficina también tiene pruebas rápidas de antígeno disponibles para que los padres/tutores las lleven a casa y analicen a sus hijos.
Organización de padres y maestros
La primera reunión del PTO será este miércoles con un cambio de ubicación a la biblioteca. ¿Ha considerado involucrarse más en la escuela de su hijo? Esta podría ser la oportunidad perfecta. En esta reunión se votará sobre los oficiales, se discutirá el presupuesto para el año y comenzará la planificación para el increíble Carnaval de Otoño. Considere unirse a PTO para ayudar a planificar un año increíble.
Proyecto de padres
La ciudad de Arcata y Pacific Union se enorgullecen de ofrecer el Proyecto de padres. Esta serie de 10 semanas se ofrecerá semanalmente los miércoles de 6:00 a 9:00, a partir del 7 de septiembre. Cena y programación recreativa para jóvenes proporcionada. Consulte este folleto para registrarse.

Clínica de Campo Traviesa Juvenil del Condado de Humboldt 9/11, 11:00 AM
Esta clínica ofrecerá información básica para ejecutar programas de campo traviesa para jóvenes para corredores de jardín de infantes a octavo grado en el Centro Comunitario Arcata. La clínica comenzará puntualmente a las 11:00 a. m. y finalizará entre las 12:30 y la 1:00 p. m. El agua estará disponible. La última media hora será una sesión de preguntas y respuestas.
