Today is National Wide Awakes Day. On National Wide Awakes Day, we celebrate the American youth movement that helped elect Abraham Lincoln as president.

Some Things to Remember for Students:
· Students attending the pumpkin patch field trip, please be on your best behavior. Listen to the adults in charge. Don’t forget to have fun!
· Remember to follow the rules and listen to the yard monitors before school starts.
· This Friday we will have our fall assembly/rally.
· Good luck to our Cross Country runners today as they have a race at College of the Redwoods.
Some Things to Remember for Parents:
· Can you donate a pumpkin for the fall carnival? Pumpkins need to be unblemished and brought to your kiddos teacher ASAP. They will be painted and auctioned off at the carnival.
· If you wish to volunteer in your child’s class, than please contact the classroom teacher. Otherwise, if you wish to visit and observe, then please sing in at the office and retrieve a visitor pass. This policy exists for everyone’s safety.
· Virtual Parent Information night for grades 7 and 8 regarding Sex Ed will be this Friday October 6th @ 6:00pm. Virtual link to follow this week.
So, with all of that, let’s go take advantage of the opportunity we are given today. Always do your best to be safe, be responsible, and be respectful.
Remember, you have the power to make it a great day or not. However, the choice is yours.

¡Buenos días Escuela Pacific Union y feliz martes! Hoy es 3 de octubre.

Hoy es el Día Nacional del Gran Despierto. En el Día Nacional del Gran Despierto, celebramos el movimiento juvenil estadounidense que ayudó a elegir a Abraham Lincoln como presidente.

Algunas cosas para recordar para los estudiantes:
• Estudiantes que asisten a la excursión al huerto de calabazas, por favor tengan su mejor comportamiento. Escuche a los adultos a cargo. ¡No olvides divertirte!
• Recuerde seguir las reglas y escuchar a los monitores del patio antes de que comiencen las clases.
• Este viernes tendremos nuestra asamblea/rally de otoño.
• Buena suerte a nuestros corredores de Cross Country hoy ya que tienen una carrera en College of the Redwoods.
Algunas cosas para recordar para los padres:
• ¿Puedes donar una calabaza para el carnaval de otoño? Las calabazas deben estar impecables y llevarse al maestro de su hijo lo antes posible. Serán pintados y subastados en el carnaval.
• Si desea ser voluntario en la clase de su hijo, comuníquese con el maestro del salón de clases. De lo contrario, si desea visitar y observar, cante en la oficina y obtenga un pase de visitante. Esta política existe para la seguridad de todos.
