Good morning Pacific Union School and happy Monday! Today is October 2nd. Welcome back to a new week and new month!
National Holiday:
Custodians are our first line of defense of the war on germs, and they are often not thanked near enough. Today is your chance to thank our custodial staff, because today is National Custodians Day!

Some Things to Remember for Students:
· Students attending the pumpkin patch field trip, please be on your best behavior. Listen to the adults in charge. Don’t forget to have fun!
· Remember to follow the rules and listen to the yard monitors before school starts.
· This Friday we will have our fall assembly/rally.
· Good luck to both Volleyball teams this afternoon as they head to McKinleyville.
· Good luck to our Cross Country runners tomorrow as they have a race at College of the Redwoods.
Some Things to Remember for Parents:
· Can you donate a pumpkin for the fall carnival? Pumpkins need to be unblemished and brought to your kiddos teacher ASAP. They will be painted and auctioned off at the carnival.
· DELAC committee meeting tonight October 2nd at 6:00pm in the library.
· If you wish to volunteer in your child’s class, than please contact the classroom teacher. Otherwise, if you wish to visit and observe, then please sing in at the office and retrieve a visitor pass. This policy exists for everyone’s safety.
So, with all of that, let’s go take advantage of the opportunity we are given today. Always do your best to be safe, be responsible, and be respectful.
Remember, you have the power to make it a great day or not. However, the choice is yours.

¡Buenos días Pacific Union School y feliz lunes! Hoy es 2 de octubre. ¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a una nueva semana y un nuevo mes!
Fiesta Nacional:
Los custodios son nuestra primera línea de defensa en la guerra contra los gérmenes y, a menudo, no se les agradece lo suficiente. ¡Hoy es su oportunidad de agradecer a nuestro personal de conserjes, porque hoy es el Día Nacional de los Conserjes!

Algunas cosas para recordar para los estudiantes:
• Estudiantes que asisten a la excursión al huerto de calabazas, por favor tengan su mejor comportamiento. Escuche a los adultos a cargo. ¡No olvides divertirte!
• Recuerde seguir las reglas y escuchar a los monitores del patio antes de que comiencen las clases.
• Este viernes tendremos nuestra asamblea/rally de otoño.
• Buena suerte a ambos equipos de voleibol esta tarde mientras se dirigen a McKinleyville.
• Buena suerte a nuestros corredores de Cross Country mañana, ya que tendrán una carrera en College of the Redwoods.
Algunas cosas para recordar para los padres:
• ¿Puedes donar una calabaza para el carnaval de otoño? Las calabazas deben estar impecables y llevarse al maestro de su hijo lo antes posible. Serán pintados y subastados en el carnaval.
• Reunión del comité DELAC esta noche 2 de octubre a las 6:00 pm en la biblioteca.
