National Holiday:
This day acknowledges and celebrates the importance of a good neighbor. This day also creates an opportunity for neighbors to get to know each other better. Today is National Good Neighbor Day!

Some Things to Remember for Students:
· Shout out to the 8th grade girls volleyball team for their win over Zane last night! Nice job ladies. Good luck to both teams in the tournament this weekend!
· Remember to walk through the hallways and school ground whenever possible, especially when it’s wet. The ground can become slippery.
Some Things to Remember for Parents:
· Can you donate a pumpkin for the fall carnival? Pumpkins need to be unblemished and brought to your kiddos teacher ASAP. They will be painted and auctioned off at the carnival.
· Volleyball still needs some help for their tournament this weekend (Sept. 29th and 30th)! They need help taking money at the door and possibly at the snack bar for both the Pacific Union School and the Arcata Community Center sites. Friday and Saturday shifts are available. If you’re looking to help please contact head coach Tish Osbourne for further information, or if you want to volunteer.
· Next DELAC committee meeting will be Monday October 2nd at 6:00pm in the library.
So, with all of that, let’s go take advantage of the opportunity we are given today. Always do your best to be safe, be responsible, and be respectful.
Remember, you have the power to make it a great day or not. However, the choice is yours.

¡Buenos días Escuela Pacific Union y feliz jueves! ¡Hoy es 28 de septiembre!

Este día reconoce y celebra la importancia de un buen vecino. Este día también crea una oportunidad para que los vecinos se conozcan mejor. ¡Hoy es el Día Nacional del Buen Vecino!

Algunas cosas para recordar para los estudiantes:
• ¡Un saludo al equipo de voleibol femenino de octavo grado por su victoria sobre Zane anoche! Buen trabajo señoras. ¡Buena suerte a ambos equipos en el torneo de este fin de semana!
• Recuerde caminar por los pasillos y el terreno de la escuela siempre que sea posible, especialmente cuando está mojado. El suelo puede volverse resbaladizo.
Algunas cosas para recordar para los padres:
• ¿Puedes donar una calabaza para el carnaval de otoño? Las calabazas deben estar impecables y llevarse al maestro de su hijo lo antes posible. Serán pintados y subastados en el carnaval.
• ¡El voleibol todavía necesita ayuda para su torneo de este fin de semana (29 y 30 de septiembre)! Necesitan ayuda para llevar dinero en la puerta y posiblemente en el bar de la Escuela Pacific Union y del Centro Comunitario de Arcata. Hay turnos de viernes y sábado disponibles. Si está buscando ayudar, comuníquese con el entrenador en jefe Tish Osbourne para obtener más información o si desea ser voluntario.
• La próxima reunión del comité DELAC será el lunes 2 de octubre a las 6:00 pm en la biblioteca.
