Morning Message
Good morning Pacific Union School and Friday! Today is September 15th and welcome to this week’s Fun Friday morning message!
National Holiday:
Today is day to celebrate the amalgamation of crunchiness and cheesiness of what very well may be one of the best dishes ever created. Today is National Cheese Toast Day!
Today is also a day to celebrate many Central and South American nations as today kicks off the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month!

Some Things to Remember for Students:
· Please make sure you take care of our bathrooms! Don’t put anything in the toilets or urinals that don’t belong there. Please flush the toilets after you have finished your business.
· Please do your part to keep our campus clean. If you see a piece of trash on the ground, pick it up and throw it away. Your efforts will go a long way in doing your part to keep our campus grounds free of trash.
· Congrats to the both girls’ volleyball teams Wednesday night! Even though neither team walked away with a W, both teams fought hard and gave McKinleyville a run for their money!
Some Things to Remember for Parents:
· Our Wellness Center Empowerment Groups have started and are taking place after school.
· If your student plans on playing a sport this school year, then they must have a current physical on file. Don’t wait, go get an updated physical ASAP.
· PTO is also currently taking signups for volunteers for this year’s carnival. Here is the link:
· Remember to drive slowly and safely in parking lots and around the school. Help keep our kiddos safe.
So, with all of that, let’s go take advantage of the opportunity we are given today. Always do your best to Be safe, Be respectful and Be Responsible.
Remember, you have the power to make it a great day or not. However, the choice is yours.

¡Buenos días Escuela Pacific Union y viernes! ¡Hoy es 15 de septiembre y bienvenido al mensaje matutino del viernes divertido de esta semana!
Fiesta Nacional:
Hoy es el día de celebrar la combinación de lo crujiente y lo cursi de lo que bien podría ser uno de los mejores platos jamás creados. ¡Hoy es el Día Nacional de las Tostadas de Queso!
¡Hoy también es un día para celebrar muchas naciones de América Central y del Sur, ya que hoy comienza el primer día del Mes de la Herencia Hispana!

Algunas cosas para recordar para los estudiantes:
• ¡Por favor asegúrese de cuidar nuestros baños! No pongas nada en los inodoros o urinarios que no pertenezca allí. Por favor, descargue los inodoros después de haber terminado con sus asuntos.
• Por favor haga su parte para mantener limpio nuestro campus. Si ves un trozo de basura en el suelo, recógelo y tíralo. Sus esfuerzos contribuirán en gran medida a hacer su parte para mantener los terrenos de nuestro campus libres de basura.
• ¡Felicitaciones a los dos equipos de voleibol femenino el miércoles por la noche! Aunque ninguno de los equipos obtuvo una victoria, ¡ambos equipos lucharon duro y le dieron a McKinleyville una oportunidad para ganar!
Algunas cosas para recordar para los padres:
• Nuestros Grupos de Empoderamiento del Centro de Bienestar han comenzado y se están llevando a cabo después de la escuela.
• Si su estudiante planea practicar un deporte este año escolar, entonces debe tener un examen físico actualizado en su expediente. No espere, obtenga un examen físico actualizado lo antes posible.
• El PTO también está aceptando inscripciones para voluntarios para el carnaval de este año. Aqui esta el link:
• Recuerde conducir despacio y con seguridad en los estacionamientos y alrededor de la escuela. Ayude a mantener seguros a nuestros niños.
Entonces, con todo eso, aprovechemos la oportunidad que hoy se nos brinda. Haga siempre lo mejor que pueda para estar seguro, ser respetuoso y ser responsable.
Recuerda, tú tienes el poder de hacer que sea un gran día o no. Sin embargo, la elección es tuya.
