Returning Library Books
All library books are due back today, June 5. We encourage you to look for any overdue books. Any lost books will need to be paid for before the last day of school. (School accounts must be cleared before report cards are mailed.) Thanks for helping maintain the great collection of books we share! Please check at the library if you have any questions.
Take a Book to the Beach Event: Week 3
Summer is fast approaching! Are you ready to relax with a good book? All this week you can come to the library to select a handful of free books to keep. These books are on the shelf right by the door. Stay tuned for more events!
Summer of Fun
Summer is just around the corner and there are many many wonderful summer activities/camps happening this year. Here is a list of many 2023 summer opportunities for local youth:

Free bus rides
The City of Arcata Transportation Division is excited to announce that the Arcata and Mad River Transit System (A&MRTS) is offering free bus rides during the month of June. Free bus rides in Arcata will be in effect starting Thursday, June 1 through Friday, June 30 with A&MRTS offering transit routes that run Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the summer months. Here’s what we accomplished this year!
10. Teacher appreciation lunch to celebrate the teachers and staff that make Pacific Union great
9. Scholarships for former Wildcats that are graduating seniors
8. Encanto movie night, complete with free popcorn and other snacks
7. Spirit Wear sales to boost belonging and enthusiasm for Pacific Union School
6. Plant sales to support the school garden program
5. Microscope purchase for junior high science
4. Almost $10,000 raised in the Read-a-thon, split to support the school library and into accounts for individual teacher's classrooms
3. Sound system purchase for school plays so that this year's Matilda musical sounded better than ever
2. Dances for grades 6th-8th to give our tweens and teens some wholesome fun (with McK Activity Center)
1. Fall Carnival family fun night, with pizza dinner, Haunted House, and lots of carnival booths
In order to keep this going next year we need your help!

Devolución de libros de la biblioteca
Todos los libros de la biblioteca deben devolverse hoy, 5 de junio. Le recomendamos que busque cualquier libro atrasado. Cualquier libro perdido deberá pagarse antes del último día de clases. (Las cuentas de la escuela deben liquidarse antes de que se envíen las boletas de calificaciones). ¡Gracias por ayudar a mantener la gran colección de libros que compartimos! Consulte en la biblioteca si tiene alguna pregunta.
Evento Llevar un Libro a la Playa: Semana 3
¡El verano se acerca rápidamente! ¿Estás listo para relajarte con un buen libro?Toda esta semana puedes venir a la biblioteca a seleccionar un puñado de libros gratis mantener. Estos libros están en el estante justo al lado de la puerta. ¡Estén atentos para más eventos!
Verano de diversión

Viajes en autobús gratis
La División de Transporte de la Ciudad de Arcata se complace en anunciar que el Sistema de Tránsito de Arcata y Mad River (A&MRTS) ofrece viajes en autobús gratuitos durante el mes de junio. Los viajes gratuitos en autobús en Arcata estarán vigentes a partir del jueves 1 de junio hasta el viernes 30 de junio y A&MRTS ofrecerá rutas de tránsito de lunes a sábado de 7 a. m. a 7 p. m. durante los meses de verano. 7. Ventas de Spirit Wear para impulsar la pertenencia y el entusiasmo por Pacific Union School
6. Venta de plantas para apoyar el programa de huertos escolares
5. Compra de microscopio para ciencias de secundaria
4. Casi $10,000 recaudados en el Read-a-thon, divididos para apoyar la biblioteca escolar y en cuentas para las aulas de maestros individuales
3. Compra de equipo de sonido para obras escolares para que el musical Matilda de este año sonará mejor que nunca
2. Bailes para los grados 6 a 8 para que nuestros preadolescentes y adolescentes se diviertan (con el Centro de actividades McK)
1. Noche de diversión familiar del Carnaval de Otoño, con cena de pizza, Casa Embrujada y muchos puestos de carnaval.
¡Para que esto continúe el próximo año, necesitamos su ayuda!
